VLAN Topologies and Design Considerations

„By default, the Alteon OS software is configured so that tagging is disabled on all external ports and all internal ports.

„By default, the Alteon OS software is configured so that all internal ports are members of VLAN 1.

„By default, the Alteon OS software is configured so that the management ports (MGT1 and MGT2) are members of the management VLAN 4095.

„If configuring Spanning Tree Groups (STG), note that Spanning Tree Groups 2-128 may contain only one VLAN.

VLAN configuration rules
