911 emergency notification terms and concepts

The SIP Application Module supports sending Instant Message (IM) notifications to a specified On Site Notification (OSN) subscriber whenever a user makes a call to an emergency number such as 911. This service is provided by using the same mechanism that allows users to push web pages and/or email links back to the originator of a call.
