Defining user device status reasons

The Status Reason menu option allows you to define a list of reasons for an inactive user device status.

When a user is inactive, the user cannot register to the SIP Application Module. This means that the user cannot use any of the services provided by the SIP Application Module, including making calls or subscribing to other users' presence. However, the inactive user can log in to the SIP Personal Agent and view the reason for their INACTIVE status.

Adding a status reason

To define a status reason for a user device

1Click the Domains menu option.

2Under the domain where you want to define a status reason, click Status Reason > Add Reason. The Add Status Reason window appears (Figure 20).
