Basic Camera Setup: The Setup Menu

cWelcome Screen

You can select the welcome screen to be displayed when the camera is turned on.

Shooting, Playback and Setup Menus

None (default setting)

No welcome screen will be displayed.

COOLPIX

Displays a welcome screen.

Select an image

Select a picture in the internal memory or on the memory card for the welcome screen. Choose a picture in the picture selection screen and press k.

As the selected image is stored in the camera, the image will appear in the welcome screen even if the original picture is deleted.

Pictures which are set as 16:9 (3584), 1:1 with black border, 1:1 with white border or 1:1(2736) on Image mode setting (A 95) and images smaller than 320×240 edited by the crop (A 53) or small picture (A 54) function are not selectable.
