Formatting the Recorder [Format]

If you format the recorder, all files will be removed and all function settings will return to defaults except date and time settings. Transfer any important files to a computer before formatting the recorder.

4 Press the 2 or 3 button to select the recording media to format.

•When formatting an SD Card, cancel the write protection function before inserting the card into the recorder (☞ P.15).

5 Press the `/OK button.

1 While the recorder is during stop mode, press the MENU button.

•The menu will appear on the display. You can also change to [Memory Menu] screen by using the settings tab (☞ P.34).

2 Press the 2 or 3 button to select [Format].

3 Press the `/OK or 9 button.

6 Press the 2 button to select [Start].

•After the [Data Will Be Cleared] message is on for two seconds, [Cancel] will turn on.

8 Press the 2 button again to select [Start].
