Description de l’HDMI

Conçue pour répondre aux demandes de la télévision numérique, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) est une nouvelle norme d’interface numérique pour la connexion de téléviseurs, projecteurs, lecteurs DVD/BD, décodeurs et autres éléments vidéo. Jusqu’ici, la connexion d’éléments AV exigeait plusieurs câbles distincts pour le son et l’image. Avec HDMI, un seul câble peut transmettre des signaux de contrôle, des signaux vidéo numériques et jusqu’à huit canaux de signaux audio numériques (signaux PCM 2 canaux, signaux audio numériques multicanal et PCM multicanal).

Le flux vidéo HDMI (le signal vidéo) est compatible DVI (Digital Visual Interface)*1. Les téléviseurs et écrans dotés d’une entrée DVI peuvent donc être branchés avec un câble adaptateur HDMI-vers-DVI. (Il est possible que cela ne fonctionne pas avec certains téléviseurs et écrans et que cela ne produise aucune image.)

Le ampli-tuner AV utilise une protection de contenu numérique à large bande HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection): seuls les éléments compatibles HDCP peuvent afficher des images.

L’ampli-tuner AV utilise la protection HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)*2, un système de protection de données vidéo numériques contre la copie. Les appareils branchés à l’ampli-tuner AV via HDMI doivent également être compatibles HDCP.

Utilisez des câbles HDMI disponibles dans le commerce (fournis avec certains éléments) pour brancher la prise HDMI OUT du ampli-tuner AV à l’entrée HDMI du téléviseur ou projecteur.

*1 DVI (Digital Visual Interface): Interface d’affichage numérique définie par la norme DDWG*3 en 1999.

*2 HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection): Technologie de cryptage vidéo développée par Intel pour HDMI/DVI. Elle vise à protéger les données vidéo et nécessite un appareil compatible HDCP pour afficher le contenu vidéo crypté.

*3 DDWG (Digital Display Working Group): Mené par Intel, Compaq, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, IBM, NEC et Silicon Image, ce groupe d’industries ouvert a pour but de répondre aux besoins d’une norme industrielle concernant la connexion numérique pour écrans numériques et PC haute performance.
