Acerca de HDMI

Diseñado para cumplir con las exigencias digitales, el TV, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) es un nuevo estándar interface digital para conectar TVs, proyectores, reproductores de DVD/BDs, set-top boxes y otros tipos de componentes de vídeo. Hasta ahora, eran necesarios varios cables de vídeo y audio para conectar los componentes AV. Con HDMI, un solo cable puede transportar señales de control, vídeo digital y hasta ocho canales de audio digital (PCM de 2 canales, audio digital multicanal y PCM multicanal).

El flujo de vídeo HDMI (es decir, la señal de vídeo) es compatible con DVI (Digital Visual Interface)*1, de forma que los televisores y pantallas que cuenten con una entrada DVI se pueden conectar con un cable adaptador HDMI a DVI. (Es posible que este método no funcione en algunos televisores y pantallas, y que como resultado no se visualice ninguna imagen.)

El receptor AV usa HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), de forma que sólo los componentes compatibles con HDCP podrán visualizar la imagen.

El receptor AV es compatible con HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)*2, un sistema de protección contra copias para señales de vídeo digital. Otros dispositivos conectados al receptor AV a través de HDMI también deben ser compatibles con HDCP.

Utilice cables comerciales HDMI (se entregan al adquirir algunos componentes) para conectar la salida HDMI OUT del receptor AV a una entrada HDMI del televisor o proyector.

*1 DVI (Digital Visual Interface): el estándar de interface de visualización digital establecido por DDWG*3 en 1999.

*2 HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection): la tecnología de cifrado de vídeo desarrollada por Intel para HDMI/DVI. Está diseñado para proteger los contenidos de vídeo y necesita de un dispositivo compatible con HDCP para poder visualizar el vídeo cifrado.

*3 DDWG (Digital Display Working Group): Encabezado por Intel, Compaq, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, IBM, NEC y Silicon Image, el objetivo de este grupo abierto de industriales es dirigir las necesidades de la industria hacia una especificación de conectividad digital para PCs y pantallas digitales de altas prestaciones.
