9.If you’re connecting to a headset or hands-free car kit, check the Hands Free box, and then

press Finish .

10.If you’re connecting to a GPS device, press Finish , select the COM Ports tab, select the

GPS device you selected in step 6, and then select New Outgoing Port. Press Finish .

11.Press OK .

12.If you’re connecting to a GPS device, enter your GPS Settings (see the electronic User Guide for more info). Be sure to select the same port you selected in step 10.

You can now communicate with this device whenever it is within range (about 30 feet) and your smartphone’s Bluetooth feature is turned on (see steps 1 and 2 earlier in this section). If you’re using a hands-free Bluetooth device and it is within range (30 feet), your smartphone routes all calls to the hands-free device instead of your smartphone’s earpiece. When a call comes in, your smartphone rings and the car kit or headset beeps. Even if you pick up the call on your smartphone earpiece, the call goes to the headset or car kit.
