PC Cardsinsertion. Do not try to force the card all the way in. You may damage the slot,
making it impossible to remove the card.
Removing a PC Card
CAUTION
Do not remove a PC Card while your computer is in the standby or hibernation mode.
When two PC Cards are inserted, perform the following procedure ( from Step 1 to
Step 3 for each of the two cards.
Note that the operation of removing the PC Card may not be complete, depending on
the status of the PC Card or device connected to the PC Card, such as when a SCSI
card is used to connect an external hard disk to the computer. In such cas es, turn off
the power from [start] menu, then remove the card.
1Disable the card function.
ASelect on the taskbar, select the PC Card, then select [Stop].
BFollow the on-screen instructions.
(When the PC Card has been removed after the computer is turn ed off, this step
is not necessary.)
2Press the button (C), and then press the button again.
3Slide the PC Card out.
4Close the cover until it clicks into place.
