PIN
PersonalIdentification Number used for SIM
security.Supplied by your Service Provider. If the
PINis entered incorrectly 3 times, the PIN will be
blocked.
PIN2
PersonalIdentification Number used for the
controlof Fixed Dial Store and Call Charge
metering.Supplied by your Service Provider. If
thePIN2 is entered incorrectly 3 times, the PIN2
willbe blocked.
PUK/PUK2
PIN/PIN2Unblocking Key. Used to unblock the
PIN/PIN2.Supplied by your Service Provider. If
thePUK/PUK2 is entered incorrectly 10 times,
thePUK/PUK2 will be blocked.
Registration Theact of locking on to a GSM network. This is
usuallyperformed automatically by your phone.
Roaming Theability to use your phone on networks other
thanyour Home network.
Service
Provider Theorganization responsible for providing access
tothe GSM network.
SIM
SubscriberIdentity Module. A small smart-card
whichstores unique subscriber and user-entered
informationsuch as Phonebook and Short
Messages.Supplied by your Service Provider.
