Changing to a New Network

Whennot in your home Country / Region, you may use a network

thatyou do not directly subscribe to, this is called ROAMING.

NationalLaw may not permit roaming in your home region.

TheNew Network function is used to manually select a network that

isavailable in your current location.

1FromIdle mode press Q, select Phone Menu > Network >

NewNetwork and press Q

2Useeto select one from the list of available networks and

pressQ

AnXwill be displayed in the information area if you cannot register

withthe selected network.

Whenthe Search Mode is set to Automatic the phone will

automaticallyreselect a new network in order to maintain optimum

networkavailability. With the Search Mode set to Manual the phone

willonly use a selected network. If coverage is lost another network

shouldbe selected.

TheNetwork List is used when the Search Mode has been set to

Automatic.The location numbers in the Preferred Network List show

thesearch priority.

SelectingInsert stores a new network in the currently displayed

locationand then moves other networks down, Edit overwrites the

oldnetwork with a new one, and Add stores a new network at the

endof the list.
