Using the Directory

Selecting Characters to Enter Names

The handset dialling buttons ((0) to (9)), BACK (Ç) and FWD/EDIT (É) can be used to enter letters and symbols. The letters are printed on the dialling buttons.

Pressing each button selects a character as shown below.

To move the cursor to the left

To move the cursor to the right

To enter another character using the same dialling button, press FWD/EDIT (É) to move the cursor to the next space.

If you make a mistake while entering a name

Use BACK (Ç) or FWD/EDIT (É) to move the cursor to the incorrect character, press (INTERCOM/CLEAR) to delete and enter the correct character. Each time you press (INTERCOM/CLEAR), a character is erased from the right. To erase all characters, press and hold (INTERCOM/CLEAR).
