Listening to Voice Mail Messages

Voice Mail Service

After receiving a voice mail message, “Voicemail” and “ ”will be displayed and the VOICE MAIL button on the base unit will ﬂash. You can listen to your voice mail message(s) using the handset or the base unit.

With the handset

1 Press (VOICE!!MAIL), and

press or .

•The unit is connected to the telephone line and dials the access number (p. 46).

2 Follow the pre-recorded instructions.

3 When ﬁnished, press (OFF).

With the base unit

1 Press (VOICE!!MAIL).

•The unit is connected to the telephone line and automatically dials the access number (p. 46).

2 Follow the pre-recorded instructions.

3 When ﬁnished, press (DIGITAL!SP-PHONE).

•If “Voicemail” and “ ” still remain on the display and the VOICE MAIL button

on the base unit still ﬂashes even if you have listened to your voice mail message(s), press (FUNCTION/CH), and press and hold (CLEAR/INTERCOM)

on the handset until the unit beeps. “Voicemail” and “ ” will disappear and the button will turn out.

•If your voice mail service uses a voice mail tone and the recorded message is

over 3 minutes long, “Voicemail” and “ ” may not be displayed and the VOICE MAIL button may not ﬂash.

•If your voice mail service uses a voice mail tone, the tone will be heard from any parallel connected phone. If you use another phone to retrieve messages, you have to dial your access number manually.
