Error messages
If the unit detects a problem, one of the following messages is shown on the display.
Display message | Cause/solution |
Busy | L The called handset*1 or base unit*2 is in use. |
| L Another handset is in use and the system is busy. Try |

System is busy. | L The handset you are using is too far from the base unit. |

Please try again | L The handset’s registration may have been cancelled. |

Check tel line | L The supplied telephone line cord has not been |

Dial locked | L Dial lock is turned on. To turn it off, see page 19. |
Don’t use this | L A wrong type of batteries such as Alkaline or |
battery. | Manganese was inserted. Use only the rechargeable Ni- |
| MH batteries noted on page 5, 13. |
Error!! | L The handset’s registration has failed. Move the handset |
| and base unit away from all electrical appliances and try |
| again. |
| L The entered password was wrong in programming dial |
| lock. Enter the correct password. |
Insert battery | L The handset was placed on the base unit or charger |
| without batteries. Insert the batteries properly (page 13). |
Invalid | L There is no handset registered to the base unit matching |
| the handset number you entered.*1 |
| L The handset is not registered to the base unit. Register |
| the handset (page 48). |
No link to base. | L The handset has lost communication with the base unit. |
Reconnect AC | Move closer to the base unit and try again. |

Phonebook full | L The phonebook memory is full. Erase unnecessary |
