Speaker Output Setup

Set the number of speakers connected to the receiver (amplifier, decoder.) (See pp. 14, 15.)

1 Do steps 1~3 on page 50.

MULTI-CHANNEL:(Factory preset)

Use this setting when 3 or more speakers are connected. In this case, it is necessary to set [SPEAKER SIZE], [OUTPUT BALANCE], and [DELAY TIME].

2-CHANNEL:

When 2 speakers are connected, it is not necessary to set [SPEAKER SIZE], [OUTPUT BALANCE], and [DELAY TIME] (these setting menu are not displayed.)

Speaker Size Setup

Speaker frequency properties and the existence of speakers is set.

1 Do steps 1~2 of “Speaker Output Setup” above.

DVD Operation

FRONT		LARGE(factory preset)	When the front speakers (R/L) supports low-frequency (under 100 Hz) reproduction.
		SMALL	Select when the front speakers (R/L) does not support low-frequency reproduction.
CENTER		LARGE(factory preset)	When the center speaker supports low-frequency (under 100 Hz) reproduction.
		SMALL	Select when the center speaker does not support low-frequency reproduction.
		NONE	If there is no center speaker.
SURROUND		LARGE(factory preset)	When the surround speakers (R/L) supports low-frequency (under 100 Hz) reproduction.
		SMALL	Select when the surround speakers (R/L) does not support low-frequency reproduction.
		NONE	If there is no surround speaker.
SUBWOOFER		ON(factory preset)	If there is a subwoofer.
		OFF	If there is no subwoofer speaker.
					** If SUBWOOFER is set to “OFF,”
