3 Use the four-way controller (45) to select an autofocus method, and press the 4button.

The camera returns to the control panel.

•You can also change the setting from the [Focus Settings] of the [A Rec. Mode 1] menu.

•[Autofocus Method] is fixed to D when the capture mode is set to n (Auto Picture), or c (Portrait)/. (Night Scene Portrait)/ R(Kids) of H (Scene) mode.

•[Autofocus Method] is fixed to E when the capture mode is set to \ (Moving Object)/l(Night Snap)/Z(Pet)/n(Stage Lighting) of H(Scene) mode.

•In [AF Select (25 Points)], [Select] or [Spot] mode, you can take pictures by fully pressing the shutter release button only when the subject is in focus. To take pictures when the subject is not in focus, set [7. AF Release Options] to [Release-priority] in the [ACustom Setting 1] menu.
