56Turning the Camera On and Off

2 GettingStarted

1 Turn the main switch to [ON].

The camera will turn on.

Set the main switch to the position [OFF] to turn off the camera.

•Always turn the camera off when not in use.

•The power will automatically turn off when you do not perform any operations within a set period of time. To reactivate the camera after it turns off automatically, turn it on again or perform any of the following.

-The shutter release button is pressed halfway

-The Q button is pressed

-The Mbutton is pressed

•By default, the camera is set to power off automatically after 1 minute of inactivity. You can change the setting in [Auto Power Off] in the [RSet-up 3] menu. (p.270)
