minimal distortion.
[4:3]: Shows the clas sic 4:3
format.
[Subtitl e zoom]: Displays
4:3 pictur es over the full
area of the scr een, with
sub-tit les visible. Part of
the top of the pic ture is
clipped off.
[Movie expand 14:9]: (Not
for HD and PC mod e.)
Scales 4:3 for mat to 14:9.
[Movie expand 16:9]:
(Not for HD and P C
mode.) Scales 4 :3 format
to 16:9.
[Wide screen]: Scales 4 :3
format to 16:9.
[Unscaled]: For HD
and PC mode onl y,
and in selec ted models
only. Allows max imum
sharpness. Some
distortion may be present
due to the broa dcaster’s
systems . Set your PC
resoluti on to wide screen
mode for best r esults.
• [Dynamic backlight]: Adjusts
brightne ss of the TV backlight to
match lighting conditions.
• [MPEG artifact reduction]:
Smoothes ou t transitions on digi tal
picture s. You can switch t his feature
on or off.
• [Colour enhancement]: Makes
colours mor e vivid and improves
the detail s in bright colours. You can
switch this feature on or off.
• [PC mode]: Adjus ts the picture whe n a
PC is connec ted to the TV via HDMI or
DVI.
• [Picture format]: Changes the pictu re
format.
• [Picture size]: Adjusts the v iewing area.
(when set to max imum, you might see
noise or a rough e dge of an image.)
• [Horizontal shift]: Adjusts t he picture
horizont ally for PC-VGA, DVI, HDM I or
YPbPr.
• [Vertical shift]: Adjusts the pic ture
vertic ally for PC-VGA, DVI, HDM I or
YPbPr.
