Access CAM services

1 After inse rting and activ ating the CAM,
press MENU.
2 Press to select [Setup] >
[Features] > [Common interface].
Applications provided by the digital TV »
service operator appear on the screen.
Note
This menu op tion is available onl y if the CAM
is inser ted and activate d correctly.
Use Philips EasyLink
Your TV suppor ts Philips EasyLi nk, which
uses the HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics
Control) protocol. EasyLink-compliant devices
that are conn ected through HDM I connectors
can be contr olled by a single r emote control.
Note
The Easy Link-compliant de vice must be
switche d on and selected as t he source.
Philips doe s not guarantee 100 %
interoperability with all HDMI CEC devices.
Use a Conditional Access Module
A Conditional Access Module (CAM) is
provided by digital TV service operators to
decode digital TV channels.
Note
Refer to the do cumentation fro m your service
operato r on how to insert a sma rt card into
the Conditional Access Module.

Insert and activate a CAM

Caution
Be sure to fol low the instruc tions described
below. Wrong ins ertion of a CAM may
damage both t he CAM and your TV.
1 Switch off th e TV and disconnect it fr om
the power outle t.
2 Following the d irections printed o n the
CAM, gen tly insert the CA M into the
COMMON INTER FACE at the side of
the TV.
3 Push the CA M in as far as it will go.
4 Reconnect t he TV to the power outlet .
5 Turn on the TV an d wait for the C AM
to be activa ted. This may take several
minutes. D o not remove the CAM from
the slot when i n use — removing the
CAM will deactivate digital services.
