You ran the file in fast forward or fast reverse during playback or turned off the ignition switch of the car during playback.

aPlaying another file will return the file playing time to normal.

You played a VBR (Variable Bit Rate) format MP3 file.

aThe file playing time of VBR (Variable Bit Rate) format MP3 file is sometimes displayed incorrectly.

You played a file in which character information had been recorded by use of ID3Tag 2.0 or later version.

aA file in which character information was recorded by use of ID3Tag 2.0 or later version may not be reproduced normally. For example, the file playing time may not be displayed correctly.

Sound Setting

Problem

No sound from left, right, front, or rear speaker.

Left and right sounds are reversed .

Possible cause / Possible solution

Left and right balance, or front and rear balance is off on one side.

aAdjust BAL/FAD as appropriate (a Page 24).

Cables are not correctly connected.

aConnect the cables correctly.

The speaker leads are connected in reverse between right and left.

aConnect the speaker leads to the correct one.

Remote Control

Buttons are invalid for operation.

Battery polarities (+) (–) are reversed.

aInsert the battery correctly.

Wrong battery.

aCheck the battery.

Battery has run down.
