Main unit

The buttons on this unit do not work.
Disconnect this prod uct from the power
outlet for a few minutes, t hen connect again .
No reaction to the remote con trol.
Connect this produc t to the power outlet .
Point the remote control at t he IR sensor
located on the front pane l of this product.
Insert the batte ries correct ly.
Insert new batte ries in the remote con trol.

Picture

No picture.
See the TVs user manual on h ow to select
the correct input on t he TV. Change the TV
channel until you see the Ph ilips screen.
If you have turned on the pro gressive scan
setting or change the T V system sett ing,
switch back to default mo de: 1) Press to
open the disc compart ment. 2) Press the
Numeric button ‘1’ (for progressive scan) or
the Numeric button’3’ (for TV system).
No picture on HDMI connection.
If this product is conne cted to an unauthor ized
display device with an HD MI cable, the audi o/
video signal may not be outp ut.
Check if the HDMI cable i s faulty. Replace a
new HDMI cable.
If this happens when you cha nge the HDMI
video resolution, yo u have to switch to its
default mode: 1) Press to ope n the disc
compartment. 2) Pre ss the numeric button “1”.

Sound

No audio output from the TV.
Ensure that the audio ca bles are connecte d to
the audio input of the TV.
Assign the audio input of t he TV to the
corresponding vide o input. See the T V user
manual for details.
No audio output from the loud speakers of the
audio device (stereo system/amplifi er/receiver).
Ensure that the audio ca bles are connecte d to
the audio input of the audio d evice.
Turn on the audio device to its cor rect audio
input source.
Clean discs
Wipe the disc with a micro fi bre cleaning cloth from
the centre to the edge in a straight line movement.
