Parental Level

Some DVDs may have a parental level assigned to the complete disc or to certain scenes on the disc. This feature lets you set playback limitation level. The rating levels are from 1 to 8 and are country dependant. You can prohibit the playing of certain discs that are not suitable for your children or have certain discs played with alternative scenes (if available on disc).

VCD, SVCD, CD have no level indication, so parental control has no effect on those kinds of discs. This also applies to most illegal DVDs.

Press 4 to {PARENTAL LEVEL}, then press 1 2 to select a rating from 1 to 8 for the disc inserted.

Select “0” to deactivate Parental Level

Select a rating from 1 to 8; discs or scenes with the same rating or lower will play. Higher rated discs or scenes will not play unless you enter your 4-digit password.

Helpful Hint:

Some DVDs are not encoded with a rating though the movie rating may be printed on the Disc cover. The rating level feature does not prohibit play of such Discs.
