The appliance has an extra 30 seconds of brushing time. What is this for?

The flashing yellow LED indicates that fewer than 3 brushings remain. Recharge the Sonicare for at least 24 hours.

The Programmable Quadpacer has been set to a 2.5-minute brushing cycle instead of the default 2-minute brushing cycle.This setting provides additional time for brushing troublesome areas where plaque collects and gum disease starts. We advise you to use the extra 30 seconds of brushing time to rebrush troublesome areas, massage your gums or brush your tongue (see chapter ‘Features’).
