From time to time the tube lamps, reflectors and the inner side of the opalescent glass need cleaning (fig. 20-23).

Replacing the tube lamps

In the course of time (if used very frequently after 3 years) the efficiency of the tube lamps will gradually decrease.

As a rule, replacing the tube lamps will not be necessary.

Have the tube lamps replaced only by authorized service personnel: only these have the required skill and dispose of the original replacement parts.

The tube lamps contain substances which may pollute the environment. When discarding lamps, please ensure that they are separated from the normal household refuse and that they are disposed of at an officially assigned place.

Replacing the mains cord

If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it must only be replaced by Philips or their service representative, as special tools and/or parts are required.
