Protecting your unit fromtheft
Thefront panel can be detached from this unit
todiscourage theft.
!Ifthe front panel is not detached fromthis
unitwithin five seconds of turning off the
ignition,a warning tone will sound.
!Onlywhen using this unit with ADD-ON
mode(M), you can operate this function.
!Youcan turn off the warning tone. See
Switchingthe warning tone on page 63.
Important
!Neveruse force or grip the display and the
buttonstoo tightly when removing or attach-
ing.
!Avoidsubjecting the front panel to excessive
shocks.
!Keepthe front panel out of direct sunlight and
hightemperatures.
!Ifremoved, replace the front panel on the unit
beforestarting up your vehicle.

Removing the front panel

%Movedownward RELEASE and remove
thefront panel toward you.
Takecare not to grip it too tightly or to drop
thefront panel and protect it from contact
withwater or other fluidsto prevent perma-
nentdamage.

Attaching the front panel

%Replacethe front panel by clipping it
intoplace.
Alignthe groove on the bottom of the front
panelwith the guide on the display unit.
!PressRELEASE until the front panel clicks
intoplace.
