!LinearPCM output of DTS audio is not possi-
ble.If you select LPCM, DTS audio is not out-

Setting digital and analogaudio output
Youcan set linear PCM audio output for both
digitaland analog output. Set audio output
correctlyto match the components you are
usingwith this unit.
!Whenusing digital connections, select
48kHz.
!Whenusing analog connections, select
96kHz.
Important
Ifthe setting is incorrect there will be no sound
sobe sure to read the manuals of the connected
components.

!48kHzA 48 kHz signal is output regard-
lessof the audio sampling frequency. A 96
kHzsignal is converted to a 48 kHz signal.

!96kHzThe signal is output with the same
frequencyas the audio sampling frequency.
Witha 96kHz signal, you can enjoy excep-
tionallyhigh sound quality.

!Withdiscs featuring 96 kHz recording, if you
select96kHz, audio is not output from digital
output.
!Withdiscs that do not feature a CSS (Content
ScramblingSystem) copy guard signal, a 96
kHzdigital signal is output.
!Whenusing this unit with a Pioneer multi-
channelprocessor (DEQ-P8000), select
48kHz.If you select 96kHz, no sound will be
outputwhen playing discs featuring 96 kHz re-
cordings.
Automatic playback of DVDs
Whena DVDs disc with DVD menu is inserted,
thisunit will cancel the DVD menu automati-
callyand start playback from the first chapter
ofthe first title.
!SomeDVDs may not operate properly. If
thisfunction is not fully operated, turn this
functionoff and start playback.
1 TouchSETUP and NEXT and then touch
OTHERS.
2 TouchDVD A. PLAY.
3 Touchato turn automatic playback on.
