Pioneer AVX-P8DVD Selecting the video of rear display, Setting the automatic open function

Thisunit features a function that automatically
switchesto the rear view camera video
(VIDEO2/BACK CAMERA INPUT jack) when
arear view camera is installedon your vehicle.
Whenthe gear shift is in REVERSE (R) posi-
tion,the video automatically switches to a rear
viewcamera video. (For more details, consult
yourdealer.)
!Confirmthe setting immediately whether
thedisplay changes to a rear viewcamera
videowhen the gear shift is moved to RE-
VERSE(R) from another position.
!Whenthe display changes to a rear view
cameravideo during normal drivings,
switchto another setting.
!Toreturn to the source display, press
V.ADJ.

touchAV INPUT2.
2 Touchcor dto select B. CAMERA.
3 Touchbto select POLARITY.
4 Touchcor dto select an appropriate
settingfor polarity.
Eachtime you touch cor dit switches be-
tweenthe following polarity:
!BATTERYWhen the polarity of the con-
nectedlead is positive while the gear shift
isin REVERSE (R) position
!GNDWhen the polarity of the connected
leadis negative while the gear shift is in RE-
VERSE(R) position
Selecting the video of rear
display
Whenthe navigation image is displayed on
frontdisplay, you can select either showing
thenavigation image on rear display or a video
ofa selected source.
!Onlywhen a Pioneer navigation unit is con-
nectedto this unit, you can switch the
videoof rear display.
!Whenselecting SOURCE in REAR DISP,
whenthe selected source is an audio
source,nothing is displayed on rear dis-
play.

touchREAR DISP.
2 Touchcor dto select the video on rear
display.
Touchcor duntil the desired video setting
appearsin the display.
!SOURCEDisplay the video of the selected

!NAVIDisplay the navigation image on

Setting the automatic open
function
Toprevent the display from hitting the shift
leverof an automatic vehicle when it is in P
(park)position, or when you do notwish the
displayto open/close automatically, you can
setthe automatic open function in the manual
mode.
Furthermore,to adjust the LCD panel slide po-
sition,you can turn the set back on oroff.
1 TouchA.MENU and SETUP and then
touchFLAP SET.
2 Touchaand the LCD panel slides to the
back.
#Touchband the LCD panel slides to the front.
3 Touchcor dto select the display to
open/closeautomatically or manually.
Touchcto select MANUAL, and you have to
pressOPEN/CLOSE to open/close the display.
