Setting the AUX title
The title displayed for the AUXsource can be
changed.
1 Afteryouhaveselected AUXasthe
source,pressoandholduntilTITLEap-
pearsinthedisplay.
2 Inputthetitle.
To input the titles, refer to Title input on this
page.
Setting remote control
code type
When the remote control operation switch is
set to DVD, changing the remote control code
type enables you to operate the Pioneer DVD
player by the supplied remote control. There
are two remote codes, code type DVDA and
code type DVDB. When using this unit with a
multi-DVD player (e.g. XDV-P9), select code
DVDA.

Title input
You can input titles for discs, digital sources,
analog sources and AUX sources. Refer to the
following procedure and input your desired ti-
tles.
Important
You can use this function only when the remote
control is set to DEQmode.
1 PressoandholduntilTITLE appears
inthedisplay.
2 Pressbutton1toselect thedesired
charactertype.
Press button 1repeatedly to switch between
the following character types:
Alphabet (upper case), numbers and symbols
Alphabet (lower case)European letters,
such as those with accents (e.g. á,à,ä, ç)

#You can select to input numbers and symbols
by pressing button 2.
3 Pressqorrtoselectaletterof the
alphabet.
Each press of rwill display a letter of the al-
phabet in ABC...XYZ, numbers and sym-
bols in 123... |}¯order. Each press of qwill
display a letter in the reverse order, such as Z
YX...CB Aorder.
4 Pressntomovethecursorto the
nextcharacterposition.
When the desired letter is displayed, press
nto move the cursor to the next position
and then select the next letter. Press mto
move backwards in the display.
5 Movethecursortothelastpositionby
pressingnafterenteringthetitle.
When you press none more time, the en-
tered title is stored in memory.
6 PressBANDtoreturntotheplayback
display.
