Power ON/OFF

Turningthe unit on

%PressSOURCE to turn the unit on.

Turningthe unit off

turnsoff.

Selecting a source

Youcan select a source you want to listen to.
%PressSOURCE to select a source.
PressSOURCE repeatedly to switch between
thefollowing sources.

Notes
!Inthe following cases, the sound source will
notchange.
Whenthere is no disc in the unit.
WhenAUX (auxiliary input) is set to off
(referto page 9).
!AUXis set to on by default. Turn off the AUX
whennot in use (refer to Switching the auxili-
arysetting on page 9).
!Whenthis units blue/white lead is connected
tothe vehicles auto-antenna relay control
terminal,the vehicles antenna extends when
thisunits source is turned on. To retract the
antenna,turn the source off.

Adjusting the volume

%TurnVOLUME to adjust the sound
level.
Tuner

Listening to the radio

1 PressSOURCE to select the tuner.
2 PressBAND to select a band.
PressBAND until the desired band (F1,F2,F3
forFM or AM) is displayed.
3 Toperform manual tuning, briefly press
cord.
4 Toperform seek tuning, press and hold
cordfor about one second and release.
Thetuner will scan the frequencies untila
broadcaststrong enough for good reception is
found.
#Youcan cancel seek tuning by briefly pressing
cord.
#Whilepressing and holding cor d, you can
skipstations. Seek tuning starts as soon as you
releasecor d.

Storing and recallingbroadcast

frequencies

%Whenyou find a frequency that you
wantto store in memory, press one of pre-
settuning buttons 1 to 6 and hold until the
presetnumber stops flashing.
Memorizedradio station frequency can be re-
calledby pressing the preset tuning button.
#Upto 18 FM stations, six for each of the three
FMbands, and six AM stations can be stored in
memory.
#Pressaor bto recall radio station frequen-
cies.

Tuningin strong signals

Localseek tuning lets you tune in only those
radiostations with sufficiently strong signals
forgood reception.
1 PressFUNCTION to select LOCAL.
2 Pressaor bto turn local seek tuning
onor off.
3 Presscor dto set the sensitivity.
