followingcould result in fire or malfunction.
—Vehicleswith a 12-volt battery and negative
grounding.
—Speakerswith 50 W (output value) and 4
ohmto 8 ohm (impedance value).
!Toprevent a short-circuit, overheating or mal-
function,be sure to follow the directions
below.
—Disconnectthe negative terminal of the
batterybefore installation.
—Securethe wiring with cable clamps or ad-
hesivetape. To protect the wiring, wrap ad-
hesivetape around them where they lie
againstmetal parts.
—Placeall cables away from moving parts,
suchas gear shift and seat rails.
—Placeall cables away from hot places,
suchas near the heater outlet.
—Donot pass the yellow cable through a
holeinto the engine compartment to con-
nectto a battery.
—Coverany disconnected cable connectors
withinsulating tape.
—Donot shorten any cables.
—Nevercut the insulation of the power cable
ofthis unit in order to share the power
withother devices. Current capacity of the
cableis limited.
—Usea fuse of the rating prescribed.
—Neverwire the speaker negative cable di-
rectlyto ground.
—Neverband together multiple speaker’s ne-
gativecables.
!Controlsignal is output through blue/white
cablewhen this unit is powered on. Connect it
toan external power amp’s system remote
controlor the vehicle’s auto-antenna relay
controlterminal (max. 300 mA 12 V DC). If the
vehicleis equipped with a glass antenna, con-
nectit to the antenna booster power supply
terminal.
!Neverconnect blue/white cable to external
poweramp’s power terminal. Also, never con-
nectit to the power terminal of the auto anten-
na.Otherwise, battery drain or malfunction
mayresult.
!Blackcable is ground. This cable and other
product’sground cable (especially, high-cur-
rentproducts such as power amp) must be
wiredseparately. Otherwise, fire or malfunc-
tionmay result if they are accidentally de-
tached.
