Using balance adjustment
Youcan select a fader/balance setting that
providesan ideal listening environment in all
occupiedseats.
1 UseMulti-Control to select FAD.
FADappears in the display.
#Ifthe balance setting has been previously ad-
justed,BAL will be displayed.
2 PushMulti-Control up or down to ad-
justfront/rear speaker balance.
Eachpushing Multi-Control up or down
movesthe front/rear speaker balance towards
thefront or the rear.
F15R15isdisplayed as the front/rear
speakerbalance moves from front to rear.
#F/R0 is the proper setting when only two
speakersare used.
#Whenthe rear output setting is Rear SP:S/W,
youcannot adjust front/rear speaker balance.

3 PushMulti-Control left or right to ad-
justleft/right speaker balance.
Eachpushing Multi-Control left or right
movesthe left/right speaker balance towards
theleft or the right.
L9R9isdisplayed as the left/right speaker
balancemoves from left to right.
Using the equalizer
Theequalizer lets you adjust the equalization
tomatch car interior acoustic characteristics
asdesired.

Recalling equalizer curves

Thereare six stored equalizer curves which
youcan easily recall at any time. Here is a list
ofthe equalizer curves:

!Customis an adjusted equalizer cur ve that
youcreate.
!Aseparate Custom curve canbe created
foreach source. (The built-in CD player and

equalizeradjustment setting automati-
cally.)If you make adjustments, the equali-
zercurve settings willbe memorized in
Custom.
!WhenFlat is selected no supplement or
correctionis made to the sound. This is
usefulto check the effect of the equalizer
curvesby switching alternativelybetween
Flatand a set equalizer cur ve.
%PressEQ to select the equalizer.
PressEQ repeatedly to switch between the fol-
lowingequalizers:
SuperBassPowerfulNaturalVocal
CustomFlat

Adjusting equalizer curves

Youcan adjust the currently selected equalizer
curvesetting as desired.Adjusted equalizer
