Selecting audio output
Whenplaying DVD video discs recorded with
LPCMaudio, you can switch the audio output.
Whenplaying Video CD discs, you can switch
betweenstereo and monaural audio output.
!Thisfunction is available for DVD and
VideoCD.
!Thisfunction is not possible when disc
playbackhas been stopped.
!Ifyou select Linear PCM, when playing a
discrecorded on a dual mono mode, you
canoperate this function. (Refer to Setting
fordigital output on page 44.)
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
LRSELECT in the function menu.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to display the
settingmode.
3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to select the de-
siredsetting.
!L+R–left and right

Note
Dependingon the disc and the playback location
onthe disc, the function may not be selectable,
indicatingthat operating this function is not pos-
sible.
Pausing playback
%Press2/PAUSE to turn pause on.
Playbackof the current track pauses.
#Toturn pause off, press 2/PAUSEagain.
Note
Youcan also perform this operation in the menu
thatappears by using MULTI-CONTROL.
Selecting the play mode
Youhave two methods for playing DVD-VR
disc;ORIGINAL (original) and PLAYLIST (play-
list).
!Titlescreated with DVD recorders are
calledoriginal. Based on original, rear-
rangedtitles are called playlist. Playlists
arecreated on DVD-R/RW discs.
!Thisfunction is available for DVD-VR.

storesrich sound.
