Setting the display connectionon or off

Youcan use this unit with or without the dis-

play.When using this unit connected to the

display,you can turn the display connection

settingon or off. If you turn this function on,

thedetailed text information of the DVD,USB

andUSB-IPOD source appears on the display.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select V.OUTin

theinitial setting menu.

Referto Adjusting initial settings on page 45.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn display

connectionon.

#Toturn display connection off, press

MULTI-CONTROLagain.

Note

Theoperation of this unit differs according to the

displayconnection on/off setting. The examples

areas follows:

!Playinga compressed audio file and display-

ingthe file name list mode

—Whenthe display connection is set to on,

thefiles of the currently playing folder are

displayed.

—Whenthe display connection is set to off,

thefile of the root folder is displayed.

!Playinga compressed audio file and pressing

DISP/BACK/SCRLin the file name list

—Whenthe display connection is set to on,

thename of the currently playing file is se-

lected.

—Whenthe display connection is set to off,

youcan return to the previous list (the

folderone level higher).

Correcting distorted sound

Onlywhen the multi-channel processor (DEQ-

P6600)is connected to this unit, you can oper-

atethis function.

Youcan minimize distortion that may be

causedby the equalizer curve settings.

Settingan equalizer level high can cause dis-

tortion.If high sound is crippled ordistorted,

tryswitching to LOW. Normally, leave the set-

tingat HIGH to ensure quality sound.

DIGITALATTin the initial setting menu.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to display the

settingmode.

#PressDISP/BACK/SCRL to return to the pre-

viousdisplay.

3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to switch the di-

gitalattenuator setting.

Resetting the audio functions

Onlywhen the multi-channel processor (DEQ-

P6600)is connected to this unit, you can oper-
