#You can start playback throughout the se- lected category by pressing and holding MULTI-CONTROL. You can also perform this op- eration by pressing and holding d.

#When browsing for a video, the lists to be dis- played are different depending on the kind of iPod.

3Repeat step 2 to find a song you want

to listen to.

# To return to the previous category (one level higher), press DISP/BACK/SCRL. You can also

perform this operation by pressing c.

# To return to the top tier of categories, press

and hold DISP/BACK/SCRL.

# To return to the ordinary display, press

BAND/ESC.

# If you do not operate the list within about 30 seconds, the display automatically returns to the ordinary display.

Searching by alphabet in the list

1Use MULTI-CONTROL to select a cate- gory.

Turn to change the category. Press to select.

2When a list for the selected category is displayed, press LIST/ to switch to alpha- bet search mode.

SEARCH is displayed.

3Turn MULTI-CONTROL to select a letter of the alphabet.

4Press MULTI-CONTROL to display the al- phabetical list.

The list is displayed starting from the selected

letter of the alphabet.

# If alphabet search fails, NOT FOUND is dis- played.

Displaying text information on iPod

When the video output is set to off in the initial setting menu (refer to Setting the display con- nection on or off on page 48), the text informa- tion of the currently playing disc will appear on this unit. You can switch the text informa- tion.

!When the video output is set to on in the in- itial setting menu and an separately sold display is connected to this unit, the text in- formation appears on the display (refer to Switching the information display on page 29). The elapsed playing time is displayed on this unit and you cannot switch the text information.

%Press DISP/BACK/SCRL to select the de- sired text information.

# If the characters recorded on the iPod are not compatible with this unit, those characters are not displayed.
