DISPLAY

Switches between named station presets and radio frequencies (page 56).

CLASS

Switches between the three banks (classes) of radio station presets (page 55).

MPX

Switches between stereo and mono reception of FM broadcasts. If the signal is weak then switching to mono will improve the sound quality (page 54).

D. ACCESS

After pressing, you can access a radio station directly using the number buttons (page 54).

8Number buttons and other component controls

Use the number buttons to directly select a radio frequency (page 54) or the tracks on a CD, DVD, etc.

DISC (ENTER) can be used to enter commands for TV or DTV, and can also be used to select a disc in a multi-CD player.

9 CHANNEL +/–

Use to select channels when using a TV, VCR, DVR, etc.

10 Remote control LED

Lights when a command is sent from the remote control.

11 SOURCE

Press to turn on/off other components connected to the receiver (see page 64 for more on this).

12 RECEIVER

Switches the remote to control the receiver (used to select the green commands above the number buttons (SYSTEM SETUP, etc). Also use this button to set up surround sound (page 10, page 46).

13 TV CONTROL buttons

These buttons are dedicated to control the TV assigned to the TV CONT button. Thus if you only have one TV to hook up to this system assign it to the TV CONT MULTI CONTROL button. If you have two TVs, assign the main TV to the TV CONT button (see page 64 for more on this).

Use to turn on/off the power of the TV.

INPUT SELECT

Use to select the TV input signal.

CHANNEL +/–

Use to select channels.

VOLUME +/–

Use to adjust the volume on your TV.

Operating range of remote control unit

The remote control may not work properly if:

There are obstacles between the remote control and the receiver's remote sensor.

Direct sunlight or fluorescent light is shining onto the remote sensor.

The receiver is located near a device that is emitting infrared rays.

The receiver is operated simultaneously with another infrared remote control unit.
