Waking up to the radio or auxiliary component

You can use the timer as an alarm clock to wake up to the radio or component connected to the auxiliary inputs, such as a satellite tuner. Once the timer is active, it will operate everyday at the set time.

Note: If there is a power failure or the system is unplugged from the wall outlet, the display shows AM 12:00 once power is restored until you reset the clock. You can’t use the timer until you set the clock.

Activating/deactivating the timer

The timer has to be active before it will have any effect.

1Press and hold TIMER for about a second.

If the timer is currently inactive, then TMR ON? appears in the display, prompting you to activate the timer. If the timer is currently active, TMR OFF? appears, prompting you to deactivate it.

2Press ENTER to set.

You can check whether the timer is currently active at any time by pressing TIMER. The display shows TMR ON or TMR OFF.

Setting the wake up time

Unlike an ordinary alarm clock, you need to set a system switch off time as well as a switch on time.

1Switch to tuner and tune to the station you want to wake up to.

If you’re using an auxiliary component, switch to AUX, then set up the component for playback.

2Set the volume.

Remember, things sound louder first thing in the morning!

3 Press and hold TIMER until the display shows TIMER? (about 3 seconds), then press ENTER.

4Set the switch on time.

Use 4and ¢to set the hour then press ENTER. Set the minute in the same way, pressing ENTER to finish.

5Set the switch off time.

Set in the same way as the switch on time.

6Check the settings you just made.

The display should indicate that you set the wake up timer, then show the on time, the off time, the function (TUNER or AUX), and the volume.

There isn't any way to edit these settings, so if you need to change something, simply set the timer again.
