PIN | This code (from 4 to 8 characters) protects |
| the SIM card from unauthorised users. The |
| PIN code is usually assigned with the SIM |
| card. |

|
PIN2 | This code (from 4 to 8 characters) is |
| assigned with the SIM card. It is useful for |
| special functions and telephone security. |
|
|
Proxy | The proxyserver is a secondary server that |
| is active between the host server and the |
| user server. |
|
|
PUK | This code (8 characters) is an additional |
| safety code. (making it useful for unblocking |
| a telephone in the event that a wrong PIN |
| code is entered.) |
|
|
Roaming | Roaming allows a cellular telephone users |
| to make telephone calls and send and |
| receive data, in addition to other services, |
| even if the user is found outside of their |
| area of network coverage as defined in their |
| user contract, by using the network that ser- |
| vices the area where they are currently |
| located. Use of the telephone outside of the |
| country depends on the network operator’s |
| number of roaming contracts and on the |
| characteristics of the telephone. |

SAR | Indicates the amount of frequency energy |
| absorbed by human tissue through the |
| transmission of radio waves. The admissi- |
| ble level differs by country. |
