PIN

This code (from 4 to 8 characters) protects

 

the SIM card from unauthorised users. The

 

PIN code is usually assigned with the SIM

 

card.

 

 

PIN2

This code (from 4 to 8 characters) is

 

assigned with the SIM card. It is useful for

 

special functions and telephone security.

 

 

Proxy

The proxyserver is a secondary server that

 

is active between the host server and the

 

user server.

 

 

PUK

This code (8 characters) is an additional

 

safety code. (making it useful for unblocking

 

a telephone in the event that a wrong PIN

 

code is entered.)

 

 

Roaming

Roaming allows a cellular telephone users

 

to make telephone calls and send and

 

receive data, in addition to other services,

 

even if the user is found outside of their

 

area of network coverage as defined in their

 

user contract, by using the network that ser-

 

vices the area where they are currently

 

located. Use of the telephone outside of the

 

country depends on the network operator’s

 

number of roaming contracts and on the

 

characteristics of the telephone.

 

 

SAR

Indicates the amount of frequency energy

 

absorbed by human tissue through the

 

transmission of radio waves. The admissi-

 

ble level differs by country.
