Pre-Operation Inspection

Hull

Use a non-abrasive cleaner to remove any marine growth and inspect the hull for cracks or damage. Do not operate the watercraft if the hull is damaged.

Drain Plugs and Bilge

Turn each bilge drain plug (1) counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the plug and plug hole of any sand and debris before reinstalling. Do not operate the watercraft if any drain plug is loose or

missing.1

When the watercraft is out of the

water, remove the drain plugs and carefully flush out the bilge with fresh water. Allow the bilge to drain completely. Wipe out the bilge with dry shop towels and reinstall the drain plugs. After launching the craft, remove the seat and check for leaks.

OPERATION

Riding Gear

Be sure all operators and passengers have the appropriate riding gear, including a PFD (see page 16). Make sure all trailing objects are securely tied back or stowed.

WARNING

Objects trailing from a person in the water or from the watercraft can easily become entangled in the jet pump impeller and cause severe injury or death. Make sure long hair, straps, ropes, clothing and similar objects are tied back and secured.
