The following figure shows the 3.5mm connector on the side of your phone.

When you attach headphones to your phone, the message “Auxiliary output

active” displays. The headphone icon, , displays on the status bar on

the touch screen. When you remove the headphones, the message “Auxiliary output inactive” displays.

Connecting an Optional Computer

You can connect a computer to your phone. You may want to connect a computer, for example, if you only have one LAN port and you want to connect your computer to the network through the phone.

To connect a computer to the phone, you need the optional Computer Cable and a ferrite clamp (included in the phone package). Attach the ferrite clamp to the Computer Cable before you attach the cable to your phone (see Attaching Ferrite Clamps on page 1-5).

You attach a computer to the PC connector on the back of the phone.
