Note

If you configure your SoundPoint IP 650 phone with a silent ring, press the flashing

 

Line key or the Answer soft key to answer the call. If your handset is off hook, the

 

call is routed to the handset. If your handset is on hook, the call is routed to the

 

speaker.

 

 

Changing the Audible Ringer

The SoundPoint IP 650 phone can play the audible ringer of an incoming call through any of its alerting destinations: the speaker, the handset, the headset (if enabled), or the active destination.

Note

If the Active destination is selected, the audible ringer is played through:

 

The speaker, by default.

 

The handset, if it is off-hook and the phone is idle.

 

The headset, if it is connected and Headset Memory Mode is enabled (refer to

 

 

Enabling Headset Memory Mode on page 5-5).

 

 

 

To change the audible ringer:

1.Press .

2.Select Settings > Basic > Preferences > Audible Ringer.

3.Scroll to select the desired ring destination.

Choose Speaker, Handset, Headset, or Active as the alerting destination for the audible ringer.

4.Press the Select soft key to change to the selected audible ringer.

5.Press to return to the idle screen.
