PLAYING A CASSETTE TAPE
1.Set STANDBY REC to OFF.
2.Set TAPE SELECT to either NOR-
MAL or CrO2 according to the type of tape you are going to play.
•To temporarily stop playback, press PAUSE . To resume play- back, press PAUSE
again.
•At the end of a tape, the tape motor automatically stops and the
selected | button | (PLAY | , | |
RECORD , | , | or | ||
REVIEW/REWIND | ) pops up. |

•To play the other side, turn the cassette tape over.
3.Press PLAY . The PLAY indica- tor lights.
4.Adjust VOLUME to a comfortable listening level.
5.To stop the tape, press STOP/ EJECT . Press STOP/EJECT
again to open the cassette com- partment’s door and remove the cassette tape.
Notes:
Fast-Forward and Rewind
Press to rapidly ad- vance a tape. Press REVIEW/REWIND
to quickly rewind a tape. When the tape reaches the desired point, press
STOP/EJECT .
Caution: To avoid damaging the tape, do not go directly from rewind to fast- forward or from first.
Cue and Review
Holding down while playing a cassette tape lets you cue (play the cassette tape at high speed) so you can quickly locate any desired section on the tape. When you release
, the recorder returns
