7-1. How to install the driver for Linux

This chapter explains how to install the CB31U driver for Linux. To install the driver, development module is required for your Linux. If you do not know how to set up development module, ask the distributor of your

Linux. Following is an example how to install the driver to RedHat 6.1.

The version of [Kernel] and [PCMCIA-CS]of RedHat 6.1 is as follows.

Kernel version 2.2.12

PCMCIA-CS version 3.0.14

1.Download the file 2.Extract the file 3.Make driver module 4.Install the driver module 5.Confirm the installation

1.Download the file

Download the Linux driver for the CB31U at our web site(www.ratocsystems.com/english). You will get the file named cb31_cb.tar.gz. But please note this driver is β version.

2.Extract the file

Extract the cb31_cb.tar.gz ,following the procedure below.

#gunzip cb31_cb.tar.gz

#tar xvf cb31_cb.tar

You will get the following files below.
