•No utilice soluciones aromáticas ni aceites perfumados (como, eucalipto o aceites esenciales), lejía, alcohol o productos de fuerte aroma (p.ej., limón) para limpiar las piezas de la mascarilla. Los vapores residuales de estas soluciones pueden inhalarse si no se enjuagan del todo. También pueden dañar la mascarilla causando grietas.

•No planche el arnés, ya que está compuesto por un material sensible al calor y puede dañarse.

Diariamente/Después de cada uso

Para optimizar el sellado de la mascarilla, es conveniente eliminar la grasa facial de la almohadilla bucal antes del uso.

Lave a mano la mascarilla frotándola suavemente en agua tibia (30°C) y utilizando un jabón suave o un lavavajillas diluido.

No retuerza la válvula cuando limpie la mascarilla, ya que la membrana de la válvula o la bisagra podrían romperse o dañarse. Tenga cuidado al manipular la válvula.

Si es necesario limpiar los orificios de ventilación, utilice un cepillo de cerdas blandas.

Enjuague bien todas las piezas con agua potable y déjelas secar al aire alejadas de la luz directa del sol. No deje la mascarilla en remojo.

Semanalmente

Limpieza de la mascarilla entre pacientes

La Mirage Quattro debe desinfectarse o esterilizarse si va a ser utilizada entre varios pacientes. Todos los componentes, excepto el arnés, pueden emplearse hasta 20 ciclos de desinfección o esterilización mediante uno de los procesos que se describen a continuación:

•Desinfección térmica a una temperatura máxima de 93 °C durante 10 minutos

•Desinfección química (p. ej. Cidex™ OPA o Cidex Plus™)

•Sistema de esterilización STERRAD™ (p. ej. 100S o NX).

El arnés debe lavarse minuciosamente al utilizarlo con diferentes pacientes, tal y como se describe en “Limpieza de la mascarilla en el domicilio”.
