Inserting the Battery

Be sure the power is off before inserting or removing the battery.

First-time Ruser? ead this.

  1 Open the battery/card cover. Unlatch (1) and open

(2) the cover.

  2 Insert the battery. Using the battery to keep the battery latch pressed downward, slide the battery in. The latch will click into place when the battery is fully inserted.

 3 Close the battery/card cover. Close (1) and latch (2) the cover.

Caution

Be sure the cover is latched.

Removing the Battery

Unlatch and open the battery/card cover, press the latch downward to release it, and then remove the battery. Be careful not to drop the battery.

Caution

If the camera will not be used for an extended period, remove and store the battery in a cool dry place.
