Mode S: Shutter Priority

Mode S: Shutter Priority

In mode S (shutter priority), you choose the shutter speed and the camera selects the aperture. Choose fast shutter speeds to “freeze” motion, slow shutter

speeds to emphasize motion by blurring moving objects.

Choose mode S. Note

Maximum aperture (i.e., the lowest possible f-number) may not be selected at slow shutter speeds, even when the subject is poorly lit.
