Tip: Depth of Field

Depth of field is the portion (range of distance) that appears sharp in an image. Small apertures (high f-numbers) increase depth of field, bringing more of the scene into focus; large apertures (low f-numbers) decrease depth of field, emphasizing the main subject by blurring the foreground and background. At settings of MF,
