HEARTY CHILI
Easy,quick, satisfying,and very versatile.
1tbsp. extravirgin oliveoil 1small onion,peeled andchopped
1/2tsp.garlicpowder 1tsp. dried marjoram
1tsp. groundcumin Pinch of cayenne
1/2tsp.paprika 3/4lb.lean groundbeef, chickenor turkey
1bay leaf Saltand pepper to taste
1can (14 oz) dicedtomatoes,with juices 11/2cups beefbroth
4oz. tomatosauce 1can (15 oz) beans,white orblack or combination
Garnishesinclude:choppedred orgreen onions,chopped freshcilantro,grated Cheddaror MontereyJack cheeses,
andsour cream.

In skillet,add olive oil and sautéonions over medium heatuntil tender.
Mix ingarlic powder, marjoram,cumin, cayenne,and paprika. Set
mixtureaside in small bowl.In same skillet, add groundbeef, chicken
or turkeyand cook, stirringfrequently until meat iscooked through.
Mix inbay leaf, salt and pepperto taste, tomatoes, brothand tomato
sauce.

Transfermixture to INNERPOT, cover andset to "COOK" Mode.
Whenunit switches to "KEEP WARM"Mode, after about1 hour, mix in
beans,using enclosed RICELADLE ladle or a wooden spoon.

ReturnLID to Rice Cooker and cookfor about 30 additionalminutes.
4.
Servechili hot with desired garnishes.
