Amp/Receiver Basic Setup Procedure (continued)
and the amp/receiver and turn it and all sources on. Also make sure you can control the amp/receiver with its remote control aimed at the SaphIR K2 keypad in normal operating mode. See Amp/Receiver Basic Setup Procedure flow chart on page 43.
To begin the Amp/Receiver Basic Setup Procedure, select BASIC SETUP from the Amp/Receiver Setup Menu and press Play .
1.COMMAND TYPE – Select and enter a command type for the amp/receiver. Choose one of the following options:
a.Select and enter a specific device (e.g., Tuner/Amp) to use an IR device code from the
i.DEVICE CODE – Select and enter the amp/receiver’s IR device code number from the Reference section of this manual.
ii.TEST IR? – Select and enter Yes to send a power command to the amp/receiver to test IR operation. Select and enter No to skip the test.
A. SUCCESS? – If the power command turned off the amp/receiver, select and enter Yes; otherwise select and enter No. Entering No returns the procedure to DEVICE CODE to allow selection of another code number.
b.Select and enter Learned IR if the IR device code library doesn’t support the amp/receiver. (See Learn IR Procedure on page 25.)
c.Select and enter Unassigned to clear the amp/receiver template. All key assignments and other amp/receiver settings will be erased.
2.SAVE CHANGES? – Select and enter Yes to save changes. Procedure returns to BASIC SETUP.
Amp/Receiver Key Configuration Procedure (Optional)
This procedure allows you to custom configure the Source key and the Volume Up and Volume Down keys. By default the Source key selects the amp/receiver’s input 1 for source 1, input 2 for source 2, etc. To have the Source key select the inputs in a different order, you will need to use this procedure. See Amp/Receiver Key Configuration flow chart on page 44.
