9. Caller ID (CID) Presentation
Your system can be programmed to display a caller’s number and name
(the caller’s ID, or CID) when you receive a call. This service is provided
by your telephone company. However, CID will not be provided in the fol-
lowing situations:
- If the caller requests no display of the phone number.
- If the call is from areas where the CID Presentation service is not provided (e.g. international calls).
- If the call is from a public phone.
- If the information sent is corrupted.
- If the telephone company fails to transmit the CID.
To set the type of CID Presentation you want on your phone, refer to
‘Setting the Type of Caller ID (CID) Display’ in Navigation Menus (Con-
figuration).
There are a number of useful options that take advantage of CID displays.

Saving Caller Number

When the CID is displayed, press the
[Selection] button for [SAVE] displayed on
the screen.
The caller’s number is saved in the phone’s
memory and can be selected for dialling.
It will be kept in the memory until you save
another number.
