Universal Answer for Outside Calls

If an outside call arrives when there are no phone users at their desks to

answer (for example, when night mode is set for the phone system), a

Universal Answer device can be set to answer the call and ring through

an external speaker for attention. (The Universal Answer feature does

not apply to intercom calls.)

1. If an outside call arrives, it rings through an

external speaker.

2. At a station, press the [Screen] button repeatedly

until the Fixed Feature Menu screen appears.

z Or, press [6][7], the function code for

Universal Answer.

3. Press the [Selection] button for

[UNIV. ANSWER] displayed on the

Fixed Feature Menu screen.

4. Lift the handset or use the speakerphone.
